Why we do it

From forest fires in Louisiana and Mississippi to hurricanes in Florida, the trees planted across five southeastern states will restore natural landscapes that have been impacted by extreme weather events.

Impact

Natural disasters not only harm the communities where they occur; they can also severely degrade ecosystems. Reforestation provides long-term restoration, development and support to communities who have been profoundly impacted by wildfires, drought, cyclones and flooding. Planting trees will also restore watersheds, enhance wildlife habitat, improve forest resilience, and sequester carbon.

What You Get

A personalized tree certificate (see gallery) to say thanks for your donation. We’ll also send you reports on our Southeast US project, so you can track the impact your trees are having on the community and environment.

Tree Species

Every tree we plant will have an impact on the surrounding ecosystem and must be selected with great care. We work with our planting partners to ensure the species we choose will benefit wildlife and communities.

ABOUT SOUTHEAST US

The landscape of the Southeastern United States is a tapestry of diverse ecosystems, ranging from the lush, subtropical forests of the coastal plains to the rugged, ancient mountains of the Appalachians. This region boasts a rich natural heritage, with its wetlands, rivers, and forests supporting a remarkable array of plant and animal species. The rolling hills and valleys give way to dense hardwood forests, home to iconic species such as the white-tailed deer, black bear, and wild turkey.

Preserving this unique landscape is essential not only for the sake of its natural beauty but also for the myriad benefits it provides to both people and the environment. The Southeast's forests play a crucial role in mitigating climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, while its wetlands act as natural buffers against flooding and help purify water supplies. By protecting this irreplaceable natural heritage, we can safeguard not only the biodiversity of the region but also the quality of life for future generations.

How does EcoWorthWash plant trees?

For each item sold, we donate $1 to our partner, One Tree Planted.

We donate quarterly, and you receive a certificate from our partner to prove the trees have been planted.

Where are my trees planted?

Use the tree menu next to the cart icon to select where you want your trees to be planted.

If you can't choose, simply choose "Where they're needed most"

Some locations take more than 1 detergent to sap

Some regions, for example Australia, have an increased cost per tree. In these situations, we require 2 or 3 detergent packs to be purchased to plant once in that location.
