Nearly 40% of Spain is covered in forests, with 50% as farmland. However, these fertile lands face threats from ongoing tree loss. Planting trees in Spain supports regenerative agriculture, helping to create resilient, diversified landscapes. Reforestation not only benefits the environment but also the people living in these areas. Due to higher costs in Spain, we plant one tree for every 3 detergent packs sold. Your purchase plays a part in protecting Spain’s natural beauty and promoting sustainable agriculture.
Impact
The trees planted across Spain will help provide a diversified food and income source for the local communities, safeguarding natural beauty and ecological diversity while also contributing to the economic health of the region. The area under restoration is a biodiversity hotspot, and planting trees here will promote healthy ecosystem, directly impacting wildlife species. Our reforestation partners in Spain are also working hard to improve soil health, ensuring healthy farmlands for generations to come.

We always plant a mix of diverse, native species from local nurseries. This project is working to restore agricultural lands, so native species grown in the nurseries include Olea europaea, Salix alba, Ulmus minor, Pyrus bourgeana, Juniperus oxycedrus,and much more!

How does EcoWorthWash plant trees?
For each item sold, we donate $1 to our partner, One Tree Planted.
We donate quarterly, and you receive a certificate from our partner to prove the trees have been planted.
Where are my trees planted?
Use the tree menu next to the cart icon to select where you want your trees to be planted.
If you can't choose, simply choose "Where they're needed most"
Some locations take more than 1 detergent to sap
Some regions, for example Australia, have an increased cost per tree. In these situations, we require 2 or 3 detergent packs to be purchased to plant once in that location.
